Program Description:

It would be hard to find a college in a more spectacular location than the ICMS campus in the Sydney beachside suburb of Manly. To the north of the College, there are spectacular views of the Pacific Ocean stretching to the New South Wales central coast. To the south, you can see sweeping views of legendary Sydney Harbour.
The historic site of the ICMS main campus is surrounded by 20 hectares of parklands and is a short walk to Manly beaches, cafes, shops, restaurants and night life.
ICMS is also close enough to the city – 17 minutes by fast ferry – for visits to art galleries, museums, the best city shops, the historic Rocks area, and Sydney’s famous Opera House.

If you’re going to study, you might as well make the experience a beautiful one. There is no campus in Sydney as beautiful as ICMS in the beachside suburb of Manly. As soon as you arrive you will know that you have come to one of the most spectacular campuses in the world. Ocean panorama, parklands, and the cityscape are all part of the view from the commanding sandstone building that is home to ICMS.

Walking through the high ceilinged corridors of the original building that once housed St Patrick’s Seminary, you realise that you are on the grounds of something special. ICMS campus is unlike any other in Sydney.

Our campus is a five-minute walk to famous Manly beach and Manly's CBD, well known for its shopping precinct, cafés, restaurants and beachside lifestyle. A few minutes’ walk in the other direction will lead you to the foreshores of the harbour. There are harbour side bush walks to explore, extending more than 50 kilometres north and south. ICMS is also close enough to Sydney city – 17 minutes by fast ferry from Manly ferry wharf.

More iformation about the city can be found here.

IUP students can study courses in Hospitality Management, Business, Sports Management, Event Management, Marketing, and Tourism.  ICMS is on a trimester schedule which falls inline well with IUP's semesters.  The autumn trimester runs from September to December and the spring trimester runs from February to May.  Students are also able to take advantage of their May trimester that runs from late May to Late August.

If you are interested in doing a paid internship as part of your semester abroad that can be arranged at ICMS.  A second option for a more involved internship experience would be to study the spring semester at ICMS, earn 12 credits towards your degree and then participate in and internship over the summer that will count for your 500 hour internship for Hospitality Management here at IUP.  Business internships can also be arranged.

For more information about the course offerings, please visit the ICMS website.

Campus living is an ideal way to make the most of our spectacular ICMS location. Students who live on campus enjoy a fantastic lifestyle with all meals provided, wireless internet, 24 hour access to computer labs, as well as the luxury of being in close proximity to classes, and the world-famous Manly beach. Rooms are equipped with a desk, wardrobe, heating, personal phones and wireless internet. All linen is provided and rooms are dusted and vacuumed once a week. Each floor is equipped with a kitchenette, common showers, toilets and ironing facilities. You will also receive residential support from the residential assistants, senior ICMS student leaders who live on campus.

You will have the choice of a single, double, triple or quad dormitory room, depending on your budget, residential preference and availability. Shared rooms are single sex but are allocated randomly for cultural experience.

To see a list of the prices for accomodations please visit the accommodations page of their website.

Students studying in Australia will need to obtain a student visa for the semester.  This visa also allows you to work while you are abroad, so if you want to take advantage of the possibility of earning some money while you study, you can work up to 20 hours a week on this visa as well.  Please visit the website for information about the entry requirements and how to apply for and obtain this visa.
