Program Description:


Located in an urban setting just outside of Jakarta UMN is a private institution with around 6,000 students studying Graphic Design, Communications Media, Information Technology, and Economics programs.  This new campus offers the latest technology in a number of professional fields including a TV studio, radio station, computer lab, and an audio video auditing lab just to name a few.  IUP student in any of the programs listed above and in Hospitality Management, Asian Studies, and Art will be able to enroll in courses that will transfer for their degree program.


Jakarta, officially known as the Special Capital Region of Jakarta (Indonesian: Daerah Khusus Ibukota Jakarta), is the capital and largest city of Indonesia. Located on the northwest coast of Java, Jakarta is the country's economic, cultural and political center, and with a population of around 10 million as of November 2011, it is the most populous city in Indonesia and in Southeast Asia, and is the thirteenth most populated city in the world. Jakarta is listed as a global city in the 2008 Globalization and World Cities Study Group and Network (GaWC) research and has an area of 661 square kilometers (255 sq mi). In 2011, Jakarta ranked 17th among the world's 200 largest cities, a jump from its 2007 ranking of 171. Jakarta has grown more rapidly than Kuala Lumpur, Beijing and Bangkok. Students can enroll in a variety of courses and all are encouraged to take Indonesian Language and Cultural Studies (Basha Indonesia).  Students are also able to take courses in Graphic Design, Communications Media, Information Technology, and Economics


Campus housing is available to students with comfortable amenities including Wi-Fi internet access, AC, television, a canteen to buy food, and 24hr security. The residence hall is located near a mall with great shopping and a food court.  There is a bus loop that runs between the two campus locations and the residence halls.
