Leeds Beckett University's origins can be traced back as far as 1824. Currently, Leeds Beckett University has thirty-six thousand students from many parts of the world. The University offers a range of undergraduate and post-graduate courses across four faculties - the Faculty of Arts, Environment & Technology, Faculty of Business & Law, Carnegie Faculty, and the Faculty of Health & Social Sciences. Leeds Beckett has two main campuses, one in the city center and one in Headingley, just outside of it. Attending Leeds Beckett means that you will be part of one of the largest and most popular universities in the UK.

University housing is available for students coming to study at Leeds Beckett. The rooms are described as flat-style and are comparable to on campus housing in the U.S. Some buildings have bathrooms en-suite, others offer community style. Internet and cable TV is provided. Students and prospective students who intend to stay longer than six months, and those coming for less than six months but who wish to work while studying, are required to obtain a student or prospective student visa before traveling to the United Kingdom. If you do not, you will be refused entry to the United Kingdom. Please discuss specific visa information with the program coordinator, Mrs. Jay Halchak, prior to your departure.
